Recognition

I am really honoured that my picture was selected as "Photo of the Week" on Singapore Photographers of Facebook. It has been a year since I upgraded to DSLR. This recognition means a lot to me as photography has always been a serious hobby of mine ever since I picked it up. I will continue to practice and learn from others in order to bring this passion of mine to another level. Many thanks to everyone who has encouraged me and gave me constant guidance.

Flowers Macro (20thApr08)

Went for Macro shoot with Mark and John this morning. Took more than 300 macro shots on flowers and insects. Have uploaded the flower shots first and will edit the insect shots later in the week. Need to get some sleep, I'm exhausted...

Yashica Mat-124

My craze for black and white photography, especially B&W portraiture, has been rekindled lately. I began reading up on B&W photography from various books and forums. What I've gathered is that medium format cameras give superb results on B&W photos.
I have a TLR camera (Yashica Mat-124) which was given to me by my dad. However, the shutter is not working. From one particular forum, I learnt that I can send my Yashica in to "Mr Tay" (http://www.decameraconsultant.com/) for repair. Will check it out and get a quote for the repair. In the mean time, I'm looking for Seagull WWSC-120 which is within my budget. (http://shop.lomography.com/seagull/)

B&W Portraiture

A photographer once told me black & white photos capture the soul of the subject. I totally agree with this. All shots here were taken with DSLR and B&W conversion done during post processing. I would really like to try taking B&W shots with medium format, TLR camera. Currently looking for a TLR. (Yashica Mat-124G or Seagull WWSC-120).

Bee Bee Molly

Did some shot with my wife's latest addition to her toy collection, "Bee Bee Molly". Messing around with the lighting to get different shades of light on the subject.
